4 Hours for Key Lime Pie?

Yep, the wife and I drove down to the Florida Keys for some key lime pie and to visit our favorite spot on the east coast. We went to the Keys on our honeymoon and decided to drive down and eat dinner at our favorite restaurant in the Keys, The Fish House and let me tell you, it was worth the trip.

We haven’t been down to the keys for a long time and things are changing immensely. The old 2 lane highway (US 1) is fast becoming 4 lanes and the causeways and draw bridges are being converted to actual bridges. That’s not bad for traffic flow but it was always cool to wait for the draw bridge to go up and watch a big sailboat go under while relaxing in the hot Florida sun.

We had a great time traveling down to the Keys and it was worth it to drive 4 hours for dinner and key lime pie. The pie was so good we brought back an entire pie for the rest of the family.
